General Surgery
The department of General Surgery has been functioning since the inception of hospital and has grown exponentially with the passage of time. The department has kept pace with newer technologies and procedures.
Facilities
The department has facilities to cater to all emergency and planned operations 24 X 7.
- The Emergency admissions from our Emergency department are run by Emergency Physician under supervision of Consultant on call.
- There are four Operation theatres available in OT Complex. Minor operation theatre is also available.
- An eight bedded Surgical Intensive Care Unit takes care for post-surgery period for all major cases requiring intensive monitoring.
Procedures
All major/minor surgeries like Cholecystectomy, Hernia, Renal Stones, Appendectomy, other surgeries of prostate, colon, pancreas etc. are performed. Many of the above surgeries are done Laparoscopically.
